Art and artists
The MODO collections document the development of the Cathedral workshop in Orvieto and, at the same time, the phases of the history of art in the city, stressing the inter-relationship between the Cathedral and the historical center. This is why the works of art are exhibited in more than one venue, an ideal reunion of the center with the outlying portions of the historical city. The rich and composite exhibition includes the better-known production of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries and other less known, even dubious, works of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
